Consultation

Whether you’re just dreaming of a new trail or have a good idea of what you’re looking for, a consultation is the first step. I can take your idea and together we can put together a realistic plan that works for your budget, work site and user group.

Design

Proper design and planning is the key to make a project go smoothly. Using GPS software and physical flagging, I can map out routes and features to develop a plan before we ever put a tool in the ground.

Construction

My guiding philosophy is to build the best trail possible while minimizing impact to our environment, whether for a bike, hike or multi-use trail project. I use a small 1.5-ton mini excavator along with hand-building techniques to create a sustainable and long-lasting product. I offer new trail builds of single-track, pump-tracks and skills areas as well as maintenance on existing trails and one-off feature builds, including bridge construction and rock armoring.

Grant Writing Consultation

If you are a nonprofit, school, or municipality, your trail or pump track project may be eligible for funding. There are state and regional grants available that are designed to support outdoor recreation tourism; improve recreational trail stewardship; and improve access and accessibility. I can help you explore grant possibilities and offer guidance in the grant-writing process.
